I know. What I love about this little film is the way it suggests that something irrational and unfair can happen in the midst of some ordinary moment – something unexplained and inexplicable. This is why, for me, I could never get into anything too Gothic or mannered in that way, because they were safely spooky already. Vampires, werewolves, etc – leave me cold, or they make me laugh!
