Children wearing cardboard Frankenstein masks during a carnival parade in Whitstable.

At the beginning of August, it was carnival time again in Whitstable, this year with a Peter Cushing theme, in recognition of Cushing having lived in the town for 35 years until his death in 1994. It was fun, and all the more so thanks to the parade of adorable cardboard Daleks.

  1. Gone in a flash – but not so, as captured by Whitstable’s talented Phil Gomm. Nicely archived. “Its not easy being Green” as Kermit said, yet Whitstable has done it proud.

  2. Nice one Phil, although there was a WHOLE lot more to Mr Cushing than daleks.
