Fashioned from quick-drying plaster, rawlplugs, feathers and wire, these fledgling ‘borogroves’ were produced for the Lewis Carroll-themed Kick-About No.82. As of writing, these little bird things are roosting on various surfaces in my house. I suspect they’re waiting to appear in some silly short film at some point when time allows…

So not a pine forest (Klimt’s Tannenwald being the prompt for The Kick-About No.81), but a beech wood carpeted with bluebells. These photographs were produced by over-exposing a lot to introduce lots of white into the image and blow out the details to produce as impressionist a vibe as possible.
