Many thanks, Kerfe – pleased you enjoyed it! I worked on this film with a whole bunch of talented and loyal young people – the majority of whom were former students, and some of whom were even current students at the time. It looks as lovely as it does because of them. It’s hugely satisfying working in a creative community like that – which is why the Kick-About has been bringing me such pleasure too. ‘Communities of Practice’ (pedagogy-warning!) are powerful engines for creativity, experimentation and forging long-lasting loyalties.
