At Whitstable harbour, someone has constructed a very large Christmas tree out of fishing nets, crab cages, buoys, and lots and lots of lights. It’s larger-than-life in all ways and I paid the tree a visit one night this week with my camera (inside an organza bag), and likewise the harbour itself, in which a number of the fishing boats are themselves resplendent with their own flashing lights.
